Wasimba is a stunning, very even rose grey male with good Australian genetics. He has excellent conformation, good substance of bone and a fabulous head which he has inherited from his grandsire, Huntley Park Anzac (a silver grey that was renowned in Australia both for his fabulous frame and for retaining his fineness - 23 microns on his 10th shearing).
But it is his fleece that has earned Wasimba a place at Rosecraddoc. We were bowled over by the abundance of his fleece which is fine, dense and boasts a high frequency, high amplitude crimp style. And it has the most beautiful soft, silky feel to it thanks to an extremely low SD of 3.8 (very rare in greys).
Wasimba has had a very successful show career with 3 championship ribbons to his name - being placed ahead of stiff grey competition such as Jessamine Redlands and Alpaca Stud Veraison (who was offered as part of the breeders selection at the 2015 Alpaca Classic).
He has cria on the ground and we've been impressed with how he has really stamped his attributes onto them - they are real chips off the old block! And his first grey progeny, Rosecraddoc Greyson, was awarded Reserve Champion Grey Male at the 2019 National Show.
As with all our males, Wasimba has a lovely, placid temperament.
Wasimba’s 2015 Statistics: 21.5µ, SD 3.8, CV 17.7, CF 98.1%
